Steps to a do it yourself Estate Sale-

1. Create and Sort Your Inventory. Keep? Donate? Sell?
2. Determine the date and time of your sale. 1, 2 or 3 day sale?
3. Prepare Your Estate Sale Inventory. I suggest a spreadsheet to keep organized.
4. Price out your items. This is the most time consuming as you want to sell the items as quickly as possible. Hitting the sweet spot is essential.
5. Display Your Items for Sale. Get extra tables to easily display the items.
6. Set Yourself Up for Purchases. Cash Only? Cash or credit cards?
7. Sales tax is due on each purchase. You will need to find out those details for your particular state.
8. Take Security Measures.
9. Marketing! Marketing! Marketing!  You can do all of the above and if no one knows about your sale, you are doing all that work for nada.
